Common questions about basin installation
How long does a basin installation take?
A standard basin swap takes two to three hours including disconnecting the old basin, fitting the new one and connecting the pipework. A basin in a new location takes longer because of new pipe runs.
Can you supply the basin?
Yes. We can supply basins through our trade accounts at competitive prices. Or you can choose your own basin and we will fit it. Either way works.
Do you fit the taps as well?
Yes. Basin tap fitting is included as standard with every basin installation. Whether you have separate hot and cold taps or a single mixer tap we fit and connect them.
Can you install a basin where there was not one before?
Yes. We can run new hot and cold supply pipework and connect into the existing waste system. This is more work than a swap but we do it regularly.
What is the difference between a pedestal and wall hung basin?
A pedestal basin has a ceramic pedestal that supports the basin and hides the pipework. A wall hung basin is fixed to the wall with brackets and the pipework is visible or boxed in. Wall hung saves floor space.
