Heated Towel Rail Types We Install
We supply and fit the right towel rail for your bathroom.
Chrome Ladder Rails
The most popular style. Chrome plated ladder rails with straight or curved rungs. They look sleek in modern bathrooms and provide good heat output for warming towels and the room.
Anthracite Designer Rails
Matt anthracite grey finish for a contemporary look. Very popular in modern bathrooms with grey and monochrome colour schemes. More resistant to fingerprints than chrome.
White Traditional Rails
White heated towel rails that blend with traditional bathroom suites. Available in classic ladder and more decorative styles to suit period bathrooms.
Stainless Steel Rails
Brushed or polished stainless steel towel rails. Durable and corrosion resistant. Ideal for bathrooms with stainless steel taps and fittings.
Electric Only Rails
Heated towel rails that run on electricity independent of the central heating. Ideal for summer towel drying without turning on the heating. Can be fitted in any bathroom.
Dual Fuel Rails
Heated towel rails connected to the central heating system but with an electric element fitted as well. Warm towels from the central heating in winter and from the electric element in summer.
What Our Heated Towel Rail Installation Includes
Why Choose Us for Towel Rail Installation
Right Size
We calculate the correct heat output so your towel rail warms both the towels and the bathroom properly. Not just a token rail that looks nice but doesn't heat.
Secure Fixing
Heated towel rails are heavy especially when loaded with wet towels. We use proper wall fixings into masonry or studwork. Your towel rail stays securely on the wall.
Neat Pipework
We run pipework neatly and discreetly. Chrome pipe covers are used where pipes are visible for a professional finish that matches the towel rail.

Heated Towel Rail Installation FAQs
Common questions about heated towel rail installation
Can a heated towel rail replace a bathroom radiator?
Yes. A correctly sized heated towel rail can heat a bathroom and warm towels. We calculate the heat output needed for the room size and recommend a rail with enough output to heat the bathroom comfortably.
What is the difference between central heating and electric towel rails?
Central heating towel rails are connected to your heating system and only warm up when the heating is on. Electric towel rails run independently and can be used all year round. Dual fuel rails combine both.
What is a dual fuel towel rail?
A dual fuel towel rail is connected to the central heating system but also has an electric heating element fitted. In winter it warms with the central heating. In summer you switch on the electric element to dry towels without turning on the whole heating system.
Do I need a fused spur for an electric towel rail?
Yes. Electric and dual fuel towel rails need a fused connection unit wired into the bathroom electrical circuit. This must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with bathroom electrical zones. We can arrange this as part of the installation.
How long does it take to install a heated towel rail?
Replacing an existing radiator with a towel rail on the same pipework takes about two to three hours. A new installation where pipework needs running from elsewhere takes longer. We will give you a timescale after surveying.
What size towel rail do I need for my bathroom?
It depends on the bathroom size, insulation and desired temperature. As a rough guide a small bathroom needs about 1000 to 1500 BTUs, a medium bathroom 1500 to 2500 BTUs and a large bathroom 2500 to 4000 BTUs. We calculate the exact requirement.
